Planning Ahead:

private sessions with Jane

You know you should sort your end of life stuff.

Now you can actually do it.

Personal, practical support to get your

end-of-life affairs in order — so you can stop thinking about it, and get on with living.

You know the paperwork exists. Wills, funeral wishes, advance directives, who gets what, who knows what.

You've probably thought about it more than once.

And then — life happened, and it got pushed to the back of a drawer, metaphorically speaking.

Here's what I know, from years of working with people on exactly this:

it isn't laziness that stops people.

- it's not knowing quite where to start

- it's the feeling that it's all a bit much

- and it's just not wanting to sit with the fact that one day, you won't be here.

But not leaving a mess behind for the people you love is one of the most loving things you can do.

Not to mention the peace of mind it brings you.

The good news is, once it's done, it's done.

And the relief — the actual, physical relief people describe when they've sorted it — that is real.

The dread disappears.

Any sadness slopes off.

And feeling good about having done it begins to get a look in.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO FIGURE THIS OUT ALONE...

I work with you, one to one, as a companion through this process. My background is in counselling, end-of-life planning, and — more to the point — I've been through it myself.

I know both sides of this:

I've been the person sorting my own stuff out, and also the person left to deal with what wasn't sorted.

This isn't a checklist you fill in by yourself. It's a conversation.

We talk through what you actually need to have in place, in the right order, at a pace that suits you.

I listen, I ask the questions that help you decide what you want, I take notes, and I send you a clear summary of what we agreed afterwards.

  • WE START WITH WHAT MATTERS MOST TO YOU

Not a generic list — your situation. What you've already done, what's outstanding, and what's keeping you from getting it done.

  • WE WORK THROUGH IT TOGETHER

I bring the framework from my book Before I Go, and all my experience from the end of life planning not-for-profit I ran for 8 years.. You bring your wishes. We find the clarity needed, together.

  • YOU LEAVE WITH A CLEAR, AGREED, NEXT STEP

After each session I send you a written summary of what we talked about and what we've agreed you'll do. No vague intentions — actual actions.

  • I FOLLOW UP

If you haven't done it, I'll gently ask about that. Not to nag — because understanding what's in the way is part of getting through it. This is a real companionship, not a one-off session.

  • EVERYTHING IS COMPLETELY CONFIDENTIAL

What you share with me, stays with me. That's the same promise I made as a psychotherapist, and it doesn't change here.

What you're really paying for is peace of mind

One hour of support is £150. Most people need more than one hour — which can be taken in 15 minute chunks if that suits -

not because the material is hard, but because life keeps interrupting, and this kind of thing almost

never makes it to the top of a priority list, unless support is in place

So the packages below are here for people who want to commit and finally just get it done, woo hoo! ✅ ✅ ✅
(If this is out of your budget, please contact me through the website and we can take it from there).

A bit about me

I'm Jane Duncan Rogers — award winning writer, former psychotherapist, TEDx speaker, and author of several books, including Before I Go: The Essential Guide to Creating a Good End of Life Plan.

I founded a not-for-profit end of life planning company in 2016, and have spent the last ten

years helping people have the conversations

most people avoid.

I've sat with people who are dying -

and with those left behind.

I know what it costs — practically and emotionally — when this preparatory work hasn't been done.

And I know what it feels like when it has.

I'm a proud Scottish lass, living in the Highlands, and work internationally online as well as locally.

WHAT OTHERS HAVE SAID...

Working with Jane really stimulated

us to get going. We learnt a lot and it has helped us prioritise the various topics, know what documents are needed, and get on and do it. Very helpful.

Hugh and Janet, Scotland

A few of weeks before my sister in law died, she completed everything with Jane. I must tell you how helpful its been, with everything written out, and all in one place. Its been an absolute blessing at a difficult time.

Jackie's son in law, USA

Without Jane's help, we wouldn't have done anything other than a will; we'd have been much less organised.

Through the very useful discussions and information, we got clear about what

we wanted/didn't want, and wrote it down. Jane had a gift for getting us disciplined in a very supportive way;

it has been invaluable.

Del and Russ, England

The fact you were on my back was

very good. Left to myself it would

have slipped.

Jayne, England

This was a surprisingly life affirming thing to do and I think you steered me through it with just the right amount of firmness, laughter and joy, whilst also holding the sadness too.

JOHN M, England

Since working with Jane, and after two years of thinking about getting a

Power of Attorney, I have finally got one. It's a huge relief. Not only that, my Living Will is confirmed, my POA is about to be registered, and I'm now working on my contacts list.

Jane, you're a star for motivating me which, done on my own, often feels like treading through mud.

Erica, England

QUESTIONS

Do I need to have done anything before we start?

Not at all. Plenty of people come to me having done nothing - no will, no discussions with family, no paperwork, no power of attorney. We start where you are.

Will this be upsetting?

It might be a bit, yes. But mostly people find it much less upsetting than they expected, and come away feeling light a burden has been lifted off them. That's been my experience working with hundreds of people over the years; plus we go at your pace, always.

Is this legal advice?

No I don't give legal advice. I help you think through what you want and what needs to happen. For the legal bits, I'll point you in the right direction once you're clear.

What if I've already done some of it?

Even better. We'll check what you have, see what's missing or out of date, and make sure it's all actually usable when it needs to be.
